Prof. Wan-Jung Chang of the Department of Electronic Engineering at National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology has been named to the “World’s Top 2% Scientists” list for three consecutive years (2024–2026), reflecting the academic research achievements and international influence he has built over time.
The latest 2026 World’s Top 2% Scientists list was compiled by a research team at Stanford University in the United States using the Elsevier Scopus academic database. It evaluates the academic influence of researchers worldwide based on multiple standardized measures, including paper citation counts, h-index, author contributions, and composite citation indicators.
Prof. Wan-Jung Chang has long focused on research into artificial intelligence, intelligent sensing, AIoT, and cross-disciplinary applications of intelligent technologies. He actively promotes the development of innovative technologies and industry–academia collaboration, and applies research outcomes in fields such as smart manufacturing and intelligent care. Being named to the list for three consecutive years not only reflects the continued international academic attention his research has received, but also demonstrates the research team’s sustained commitment to technological innovation and academic research.
